SDT Gift Cards

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the purchase, use, and redemption of Senior Discovery Tours Gift Cards and eGift Cards (“Gift Cards”).By purchasing or using a Gift Card, you agree to these Terms. Senior Discovery Tours reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time without prior notice, and any changes will take effect upon posting to our website.

1. General

Senior Discovery Tours Gift Cards are issued and managed by Senior Discovery Tours (“SDT”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

Gift Cards are available in two forms:

·       Physical Gift Cards, which are mailed to the recipient within Canada and the United States, or available at SDT branch locations, and

·       eGiftCards, which are delivered electronically via email.

Gift Cards are denominated in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and can be used exclusively towards travel services offered by Senior Discovery Tours.

Clients may view Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) related to Gift Cards.

The Gift Card holder or purchaser of the Gift Card agrees that these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, construed and/or interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario (Canada) and the laws of Canada applicable therein and shall be treated in all respects as an Ontario contract, without regard to the principles of conflict of law that would impose a law of another jurisdiction.

2. Purchase and Activation

Gift Cards can be purchased:

·       Online at www.seniordiscoverytours.ca, or

·       In person at any of our five Senior Discovery Tours branch locations across Canada.

The minimum load amount per card is $50 CAD, and the maximum is $7,500CAD. Up to 5 cards may be purchased in a single transaction, subject to a daily purchase limit of $7,500 CAD.

All purchases are final. Gift Cards are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no cash value. They cannot be redeemed for cash, credit, or any other form of payment, except where required by law.

Once payment has been successfully processed, the card will require activation by the recipient calling 1-800-268-3492 with their Gift Card PIN Number located on the notification email or letter.  

Physical Gift Cards cannot be purchased for delivery outside Canada or the United States.

3. Delivery

Physical Gift Cards will be mailed directly to the recipient via Canada Post within 5–10 business days, and can only be delivered to addresses within Canada and the United States. All gift card details, including the gift card PIN number, will be included. Delivery timelines may vary, and the postal service is subject to change.

eGift Cards will be delivered electronically to the recipient’s email address provided during purchase. Email delivery is typically within 5-10minutes but may take several hours in some cases.

Senior Discovery Tours is not responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, or undeliverable cards resulting from inaccurate or incomplete recipient information provided by the purchaser, including but not limited to, incorrect or inexistent physical or email addresses. To ensure that delivery information has been entered accurately, we recommend that clients check all details prior to finalizing their purchase.

4. Redemption

Gift Cards may be applied towards the purchase of any Senior Discovery Tours tour.

To redeem a Gift Card, the cardholder must contact our office directly by calling 1-800-268-3492 and provide the Gift Card PIN Number at the time of booking.

Gift Cards:

·       Must be used in full during a single transaction. Any unused value after redemption will be forfeited.

·       Cannot be used to purchase additional Gift Cards.

5. Balance and Expiry

SDT Gift Cards do not expire. There are no service, activation, or dormancy fees associated with their use.

Balances are non-reloadable and cannot be transferred to another card. Once a Gift Card has been fully redeemed, it will hold no remaining value.

6. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Cards

Gift Cards should be treated as cash. Senior Discovery Tours is not responsible for any Gift Card that is lost, stolen, or damaged. Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced or reissued under any circumstances.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

Gift Card purchases are non-refundable. If a booking made with a Gift Card is cancelled, any eligible refund will be reissued and applied to your account as credit, in accordance with SDT’s standard booking terms and cancellation policies.

No cash or credit card refunds will be provided for bookings originally paid with a Gift Card.

8. Fraud and Misuse

Senior Discovery Tours reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or hold any Gift Card and corresponding order if there is reason to believe that it has been purchased, used, or obtained fraudulently or in violation of these Terms.

Any fraudulent or unauthorized use of a Gift Card may result in the card’s immediate deactivation without notice.

9. Liability

Senior Discovery Tours is not responsible for:

·       Unauthorized use of any Gift Card,

·       Technical failures, system errors, or communication delays during purchase or redemption, or

·       Inaccuracies in recipient contact information provided at purchase.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Senior Discovery Tours’ total liability for any claim relating to a Gift Card will not exceed the amount loaded on the card.

10. Privacy

Senior Discovery Tours collects and uses personal information related to Gift Card purchases in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
