Join the céilí: an evening of Irish music, dance, and welcome
The fiddles strike up, someone grabs your hand, and before you know it, you're whirling around the dance floor. Welcome to the céilí (pronounced "kay-lee"), a traditional Irish gathering built around live music and group dancing, and one of the most joyful nights out you'll find anywhere in Ireland.
The music is lively. Depending on the night, you might hear fiddle, accordion, flute, or tin whistle, all kept in rhythm by the steady beat of the bodhrán, a handheld frame drum. And once the reels and jigs get going, it’s hard to keep your feet still.
Join in! Céilí dances are group dances, performed in lines, circles, and squares, so no one is ever left dancing alone. Don’t worry if you’ve never danced a step: they’ll give you a demo to start off, and nobody minds a wrong turn. Actually, getting a little lost is part of the fun.
Sing along. Between dances, there’s often a song or two, and choruses are meant to be shared. You don’t need to know the words when you start – by the second chorus, you’ll be an expert.
A warm welcome. This isn’t a performance you’re meant to watch from your seat. Locals will often pull a stranger into the set, steer them through the figures, and share a laugh when it all goes sideways. The Irish greeting céad míle fáilte (“a hundred thousand welcomes”) has never felt more genuine.
Tips for your first céilí: wear comfortable shoes, pace yourself (sitting out a dance is perfectly fine), and don’t hesitate to say yes when someone asks you up.
You can experience traditional music and dance throughout our 15-day All Around Ireland tour, from a rousing Irish cabaret evening in Dublin to dinner with music and dance in a local pub in Killarney. Departures run from May to July 2027.

Shopping in Milan, Italy’s fashion capital
Situated in the heart of northern Italy’s textile and manufacturing region, Milan has been the home of Italian ready-to-wear since the 1970s. Some of the world’s biggest fashion houses were founded or are based here, including Prada, Giorgio Armani, Versace, and Fendi.
Looking for some Italian retail therapy? Here’s a quick overview of where to shop and what to buy.
Quadrilatero della Moda. The “fashion quadrilateral” is formed by four elegant streets: Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Sant’Andrea, and Via Manzoni. It’s where you’ll find flagship boutiques in historic palazzi. Even if you’re only window-shopping, the displays are a show in themselves.
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Beside the Duomo, the glass-roofed Galleria is one of the world’s oldest shopping arcades and home to Prada’s original store. Before you leave, follow local custom and spin on your heel on the mosaic bull set into the floor – it’s said to bring good luck.
Brera district. Not looking for big-name brands? This is where you’ll find small jewellers, artisan boutiques, and independent designers selling handmade pieces, usually at gentler prices.
What to bring home
Italian leather is the classic buy, and smaller pieces like gloves, wallets, belts, and handbags offer quality without designer price tags. Silk scarves and ties are another great choice, since the Lake Como area north of the city has a long history of silk making. Also keep an eye out for beautifully made homewares.
Soak up the style. Milan’s stylish vibe goes far beyond its shop windows. Italians value fare bella figura – making a good impression – and in Milan that means dressing well for everyday life, from a coffee at the bar to an evening stroll.
Departing April 20, 2027, our 15-day Ligurian Riviera tour ends with two nights in Milan, including a guided tour of the Galleria, La Scala, and the Duomo, followed by a free afternoon to shop, visit museums, or simply enjoy the city.

Bermuda: a golfer’s paradise
It's often said that Bermuda has more golf courses per square mile than anywhere else on earth. We'll leave the math to someone else, but we know one thing for sure: golfers definitely love it. Here’s why.
Courses by legendary designers. Bermuda has been attracting top golf course architects for more than a century. The result is a collection of courses that are as challenging as they are beautiful, with clifftop greens and views for miles. Port Royal’s 16th hole, a par 3 perched on a cliff above Whale Bay, is said to be one of the most photographed golf holes in the world.
There’s a course for every game. You don’t have to be a pro to get in the game. There are championship courses played by some of golf’s biggest names and more relaxed spots ideal for a casual round. Wherever you play, expect firm, fast Bermuda grass greens, and ocean breezes that keep things interesting.
Everything is close by. Bermuda is compact, so no course is ever far away. You can tee off in the morning and be on the beach by mid-afternoon.
Your holiday, your pace.
Golf is one of the many joys of a stay-put holiday: you unpack once and build your days around what you love. Tee times can be arranged, and when you’re not on the course, there’s a private beach, a pool, and plenty of opportunities to explore the island.
Join us on our 15-day Bermuda stay-put holiday, with departures in February, March, and April 2027.

Bring home the aperitivo
Aperitivo is the Italian ritual of enjoying a light drink and a few small bites in the early evening, meant to open the appetite before dinner (the word comes from the Latin aperire, “to open”).
In Italy, the drink is usually something bittersweet or bubbly, like a spritz, a Campari soda, or prosecco, and it’s served with olives, chips or crackers, or squares of focaccia.
Try it at home
Around 5 p.m. pour a couple of glasses of something bubbly and set out some olives, salted nuts, and good bread and cheese. The most important ingredient? Taking time to slow down and enjoy the moment.
