We fly to Los Angeles and transfer to our cruise ship, the Crown Princess. This evening, we enjoy our first delicious dinner on board.

When Hernán Cortés first arrived in 1535, he attempted to establish a colony here, but it was Sebastián Vizcaíno who returned in 1596, renaming it La Paz and setting the stage for the vibrant destination we experience today. Cradled between the rugged Sierra de la Giganta and the shimmering Sea of Cortez, Loreto invites us to step into one of the peninsula’s oldest settlements, where ancient cave paintings and petroglyphs tell stories dating back thousands of years and the historic Mission of Our Lady of Loreto stands as a testament to its Jesuit heritage. Wander its charming streets and experience authentic Mexican culture, or venture into its spectacular surroundings with visits to Mission San Javier, the Jesuit Missions Museum, and a wealth of outdoor pursuits—from kayaking and snorkeling to whale watching and scenic exploration along pristine beaches and dramatic desert landscapes. Once a quiet coastal village, Puerto Vallarta rose to international fame after director John Huston chose it as the setting for ‘The Night of the Iguana’ and establishing the legendary Gringo Gulch as a retreat for the rich and famous. Stroll along The Malecón, visit the iconic Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, explore nearby gems such as Islas Marietas and Yelapa, or simply relax on palm-lined beaches while enjoying exceptional shopping and coastal adventures.
