We depart for Prague, via Frankfurt.

We arrive in Prague and transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day is free to start exploring this beautiful city. This evening is our Welcome Dinner.

Our city tour reveals why Prague is one of Europe’s most popular cities. During our tour we’ll visit the 1,000 year old Prague Castle and St. Vitus, before walking over the Charles Bridge to the Old Market Square. Afternoon at leisure to mix with the locals at Wenceslas Square or enjoy an outdoor café. This evening we enjoy a Folklore Dinner Show.

At leisure to stroll along the Vlatava River, relax at an outdoor café, or shop for local handicrafts.

We depart Prague and stop in Pilzen, best known for producing Pilsner beer - a pale gold lager. After some free time to explore this lovely town, we enjoy a scenic drive through pastoral countryside to Passau, where we embark our luxurious cruise ship. Later we enjoy a Welcome Cocktail Reception and our first delicious dinner on board.

Regensburg is one of Germany’s best preserved medieval cities. with architectural treasures including churches, monasteries, the town hall, and one of Europe’s oldest bridges that has spanned the Danube since the 12th century. During our walking tour we’ll sense the former power and wealth of this city, which once controlled the trade route to the Orient. Included is a guided visit to the beautiful and historic 18th century Thurn and Taxis Palace, with its impressive marble staircase and magnificent rooms. After our visit, we’ll visit a traditional brewery for a sampling of the local beer and Bavarian pretzels.

This morning we’ll stop at the beautiful 3-rivers city of Passau, and enjoy a guided walk through the old city. Passau is known as “Little Venice”, with its rivers, bridges, and winding streets. A highlight here is the famous baroque cathedral of St. Stephens, with its gothic soul and impressive pipe organ. There will be free time to explore the largest fortress complex in Europe - the Veste Oberhause.

This morning we’ll visit Melk Abby - one of the world’s most famous monastic sites. This Baroque jewel is filled with beautiful frescoes and priceless manuscripts. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Durnstein, one of the most beautiful towns in the Wachau Valley. It features breathtaking scenery and architecture, as well as numerous historic sights. On our walking tour we’ll explore the old town and the city walls, and enjoy the beautiful views of the castle and surroundings from the Prager Platz. We’ll also walk along the Clarissan Monastery to the Baroque Canon’s Abbey, to explore the abbey and take in the breathtaking view from the Danube terrace underneath the iconic blue tower.

On our guided city tour of Vienna we’ll drive along the famous Ringstrasse, passing several magnificent buildings like the stunning opera house, the Parliament, the Court Theatre, and Vienna’s imposing city hall. Then we’ll enjoy a guided walk through the city center and see the famous Hofburg Imperial Palace, the Kohl market and iconic St. Stephen’s Cathedral. This evening we enjoy a classical music concert in the very place that Johann Strauss once directed his orchestra. The concert features waltzes, polkas, arias, operettas, and piano concert melodies. Top-rate opera singers and ballet dancers are also featured.

The gorgeous old town of Bratislava has maintained its Gothic-Baroque style. We will see the Grassalkovich Palace and continue up the hill for a stunning, panoramic view of the city and surrounding areas. Afterwards, we will have a guided walking tour through the restored old town and see the Primatial Palace, St. Martin’s Cathedral - a former coronation cathedral for Hungarian kings, the Academia Istropolitana - city’s oldest university dating back to the 15th century, the main square with the old City Hall, the Opera House, and Maximilian Fountain.

Budapest, the “Queen of the Danube”, is one of the world’s most beautiful cities. The Danube flows through the heart of the city, dividing it into two parts: Buda and Pest. Our guided tour takes us past the Great Market Hall with its outstanding gourmet shops and stalls, the Baroque buildings of the Hungarian State Opera, the Parliament building, Hero’s Square, St. Matthew’s Church, and Fisherman’s Bastion. This evening we enjoy the Captain’s Gala Dinner.

We transfer to the airport for our flight home, via Frankfurt.
