Depart for São Vicente via Lisbon.
Arrive in São Vicente and transfer to Mindelo, the cultural heart of Cape Verde.
Spend the morning exploring the town and its vibrant local market, where farming and fishing remain central to island life. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon to explore at your own pace, with time to visit the Cesária Évora Museum or relax on the local beach.
We take a ferry from São Vicente to Santo Antão before travelling by road through contrasting island landscapes. Begin your hike through arid hills and rural hamlets, passing small farming communities and cultivated fields. The route offers sweeping views across the island’s rugged interior, showcasing its dramatic terrain and striking geological contrasts.
Explore the charming fishing village of Ponta do Sol before ascending into the mountains towards Fontaínhas, famed for its spectacular hillside setting and breathtaking views. Wander along narrow footpaths between colourful houses and terraced gardens, surrounded by the island's dramatic scenery.
A day to relax in Ponta do Sol. Stroll the small harbour, explore cobbled streets, or simply unwind by the ocean as waves crash against volcanic cliffs.
Begin at the spectacular Cova Crater, a vast volcanic basin, before descending along stone-paved paths into the lush Paúl Valley. Pass terraced farmland, dramatic cliffs, and tropical vegetation, discovering one of the most fertile and vibrant landscapes in Cape Verde.
Enjoy a relaxing day in Ponta do Sol. Take time to explore the village, enjoy the ocean views, or simply unwind in this peaceful coastal setting.
Return to São Vicente and visit Baía das Gatas, a calm natural lagoon known for its beauty and famous music festival. Continue with a coastal hike to Salamansa, a traditional fishing village with colourful boats and a laid-back atmosphere.
A full day to enjoy Mindelo at your own pace. Relax at Laginha Beach, explore the city’s streets and cafés, or soak up the harbour atmosphere. As evening falls, immerse yourself in Mindelo’s musical heritage, with the soulful sounds of morna deeply woven into the city’s culture.
Fly to Lisbon and enjoy free time upon arrival in Portugal’s vibrant capital. Explore at leisure or relax after your journey.
Discover Lisbon's historic quarters, including Bairro Alto, Chiado, and Rossio. Explore traditional streets, viewpoints, and the famous Time Out Market, where you'll enjoy a taste of Lisbon with a pastel de nata and traditional Ginjinha liqueur. Continue along the Tagus River to Praça do Comércio before enjoying a farewell dinner.
