Upon arrival in Winnipeg, transfer to your hotel before discovering the city’s highlights on a guided sightseeing tour. See The Forks Market, the Manitoba Legislative Building, the Canada Life Centre— home of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets —and the charming French Quarter of Saint Boniface. Visit one of the city’s most striking landmarks, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, before gathering this evening for a Welcome Dinner.

Fly from Winnipeg to Churchill, gateway to Manitoba’s true North. After checking in at our lodge, learn about Indigenous heritage and northern history on the Churchill Heritage Tour. Discover Cape Merry, the “Polar Bear Jail,” and the crash site of “Miss Piggy”—each offering a glimpse into Churchill’s fascinating story. This evening, attend a photography presentation on capturing northern lights and wildlife, followed (weather permitting) by your first opportunity to witness the aurora borealis shimmering across the northern sky.

Take to the skies on a thrilling helicopter tour over vast tundra, taiga, and boreal forest—the realm of the polar bear. Marvel at sweeping views of Hudson Bay’s coastline, the pristine subarctic wilderness and the town of Churchill while keeping an eye out for moose, caribou, and polar bears. Afterwards, enjoy a Parks Canada presentation on the Prince of Wales Fort National Historic Site and its surrounding areas, highlighting the region’s Indigenous heritage, the fur trade era, and the natural environment of northern Manitoba.

Feel an adrenaline rush as you ride in a dog cart pulled by Huskies in the Northern Boreal Forest. Then hear Indigenous stories and wisdom from a Métis dog musher. Later, board the state-of-the-art Arctic Crawler™ for a safe and comfortable journey across the Hudson Bay coastline and the Churchill Wildlife Management Area. Wildlife sightings may include arctic foxes, hares, ptarmigans as well as polar bears.

Visit the innovative Churchill Northern Studies Centre, a 27,000 sq. ft. LEED-certified research station dedicated to sustainable subarctic science. Learn about the region’s three intersecting ecozones, its unique ecosystems, and the Aurora Dome that offers spectacular sky views. This evening, enjoy a final opportunity to watch the Northern Lights dance across the starry sky.

We take in once more the stunning subarctic scenery and view wildlife in their natural habitat aboard the Arctic Crawler™. This afternoon, fly back to Winnipeg and check in at your hotel. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner and share memories of your unforgettable northern adventure with new friends.

Bid a warm farewell to Manitoba as you fly back home.
