Why you’ll love touring with us:
(from most cities)
We depart from Toronto and Burlington and begin our journey to Huntsville. En route, we stop in Gravenhurst for a scenic cruise on the Muskoka Lakes aboard the Wenonah II. Enjoy lunch onboard while taking in the stunning Muskoka scenery. Following the cruise, we visit the Muskoka Discovery Centre. Later this afternoon, we travel to our home for the next three nights, the beautiful Deerhurst Resort, where we conclude the day with a Welcome Dinner.
This morning, we explore Muskoka Heritage Place, with leisure time to visit the Muskoka Museum, Pioneer Village, and enjoy a ride on the Portage Flyer Train. We then travel to Bala to visit the Johnston’s Cranberry Marsh & Muskoka Lakes Winery for a guided tour of the property, followed by a wine tasting.
Today we venture into the heart of Algonquin Provincial Park, one of Ontario’s oldest and most celebrated protected areas. Our day begins with a guided walk along one of the park’s scenic trails with an Algonquin Park Naturalist, where we’ll learn about the park’s history, remarkable forests, and enjoy the brilliant fall colours. We then visit the Algonquin Visitor Centre to further explore the park’s natural and cultural heritage. We return to Deerhurst Resort in the afternoon, leaving time to relax and enjoy the resort’s many amenities.
This morning, we depart Muskoka and travel toward Ottawa, stopping at the Algonquin Logging Museum for a step back in time. Guided by a Park Naturalist, we explore the museum grounds, learning how early loggers lived and worked while enjoying a guided walk through the historic logging site. We then continue onward to Ottawa, where we check in for the evening.
This morning, we enjoy a guided city tour of Ottawa, including highlights such as Parliament Hill, Rideau Hall, and the Canadian Museum of History. This evening, we gather for a Farewell Dinner to celebrate our journey together.
We bid farewell to our fellow travellers as we make our way back to the Toronto and Burlington areas.
