August Departure:
1. Operation Mincemeat. The Best Reviewed show in West End History is now the Olivier Winning "Best New Musical" 2024. The year is 1943 and we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse. Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Noel Coward meets Noel Fielding, Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. The question is, how did a well-dressed corpse wrong-foot Hitler?
2. The Great Gatsby Musical. London's greatest party of the century on stage with the Roaring 20’s, old sport. Meet mysterious millionaire, Jay Gatsby. He entertains the rich and famous with riotous parties at his Long Island mansion yet never joins in. Gatsby longs instead to reunite with his former flame Daisy Buchanan, but Daisy comes from another lifetime, long before the money.
October Departure:
1. Wicked: The Musical. This fantastic backstory of the one that we all thought was the Wicked Witch of the West, is directed by two-time Tony-winner Joe Mantello, with music by multi-Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Stephen Schwartz. This West End musical is the 11th longest running show and London’s No. 1 show.
2. Hercules: The Musical. Based on the 1997 Disney film this famous demigod is leaping onto the big stage with this musical comedy of the son of Zeus and Hera. Directed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw this musical will have you smiling with the fun tale of the lost Greek God.
3. Plus your choice between 3 theatre productions! For your 3rd theatre night you will be given the choice between 3 of the hottest West End / National Theatre shows.
We will stay at the centrally located Park Plaza Waterloo (or similar). situated on the south side of the Thames with dramatic river and skyline views—and an easy walk to the House of Parliament, Big Ben, the London Eye, and train and tube stations.
