This tour provides the perfect balance between guided experiences and free time, giving you the opportunity to explore these two beautiful and historic cities at a relaxed pace.
We begin in Halifax with a kilted guided tour, exploring the city’s fascinating history. We’ll also explore the Victorian Public Gardens, Citadel Hill, and Pier 21—Canada’s Museum of Immigration. At Alexander Keith’s Brewery—North America’s oldest working brewery—we’ll sample ales in its historic Stag’s Head Pub. We’ll also enjoy trips to the iconic Peggy’s Cove lighthouse and the Fisheries Museum in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg.
The second half of our tour takes us to Charlottetown, PEI’s capital, where we will learn about the province’s pivotal role in Canadian history. We’ll visit Green Gables Heritage Place, PEI National Park, and the village of Victoria-bythe-Sea. Enjoy bannock in the island’s oldest Acadian community (established in 1764), shuck and taste fresh oysters at Raspberry Point Oyster Co., see a performance at Confederation Centre of the Arts, and end with a traditional PEI ceilidh (KAY-lee), featuring music, food, and local culture.
