Castles, history, sunshine, beaches, scenery, seafood, and above all, friendly people. These are some of the features that make Portugal a perfect travel destination.
The Algarve is a wonderful resort region deep in the south of Portugal with much more to offer than its golden sand beaches and temperate climate. We will stay in the lively town of Albufeira, a perfect base for exploring the nearby Moorish towns, charming fishing villages, historic castles and churches, mountain views and spectacular cliff-edge vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. Albufeira is one of the Algarve’s most popular towns with picturesque white-washed buildings, a main central square, cobblestone streets and many shops and cafés to enjoy.
Our hotel in the Algarve for our 7-night stay is the Vila Galé Cerro Alagoa, within walking distance of the town centre, beach, shops and restaurants. Facilities of the hotel include a buffet restaurant, pub, outdoor pool, fitness centre with an indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, games room, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Our comfortable and modern guestrooms here overlook the lovely pool area.
We then continue towards the Atlantic coast, stopping en route to visit the beautiful historic city of Évora. Depending on departure date, our overnight stay will be in either Ericeira or Cascais, two of Portugal’s most charming coastal towns. Both offer a relaxed seaside atmosphere, scenic ocean views, and inviting town centres filled with cafés, restaurants, and local shops—perfect for a leisurely evening stroll and soaking up coastal life.
We will enjoy a 7-night stay at Hotel Vila Galé Ericeira or Cascais, both ideally located near the town centre and Atlantic coast. Each offers a restaurant with buffet and live-cooking stations, bars, a health club, pleasant outdoor areas, and a pool. Comfortable sea-view rooms ensure relaxing coastal views and a restful atmosphere.
