On this tour we journey through ancient history and experience the fascinating culture of Egypt.
Our Egyptian adventure begins in Cairo—”City of a Thousand Minarets”—a fascinating blend of ancient and modern, and home to some of the most enduring historical monuments on earth. Nearby stand the Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, alongside the Egyptian Museum and its unparalleled collection of ancient treasures. But Cairo offers much more—grand mosques, bustling bazaars, and storied landmarks at every turn.
After Cairo we glide back in time to the “Land of the Pharaohs” on an unforgettable 7-night Nile cruise, taking in the vast collection of temples and tombs that serves as an eternal monument to one of the world’s oldest civilizations. We sail to Luxor, Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Philae, all while enjoying the renowned hospitality of our deluxe riverboat—the MS Renaissance (or similar), built specifically for Nile cruising.
We cap off our tour where it all began—the lively, storied city of Cairo. From here we venture out to Saqqara, home to the great Step Pyramid of King Zoser, and ancient Memphis, where the Alabaster Sphinx and the colossal Statue of Ramses II stand as enduring monuments to Egypt’s past. It’s a fitting finale to a journey that has carried us from the awe-inspiring pyramids to the majestic temples of the Nile.
