New Tour Spotlight: Enchanting Bali

August 24, 2026

Enchanting Bali
17 Days  •  Departing March 14, 2027

Every morning in Bali begins quietly, with a small offering of flowers and rice, set out carefully on a doorstep, car dashboard, or temple step. It’s a quiet acknowledgment that the sacred is part of the everyday on this island – and it sets a unique rhythm that makes Bali a truly unique place worth experiencing.

Join us as we trace the island's full character with an itinerary that includes stunning temples and lush coffee groves, misty lakes and tiny villages – incredible experiences in three stunning locations:

  • 7 nights in Ubud, tucked in amongst rice terraces and river gorges
  • 2 nights on the dramatic sea cliffs of Nusa Penida
  • 5 nights unwinding on the quiet shores of Sanur

Sacred places

Tirta Empul is a sacred water temple where locals believe the spring-fed pools hold purifying powers.

Bali's spiritual traditions are woven into daily life. There are literally tens of thousands of temples, from humble worship spaces in people’s homes to the stunning clifftop structures.

In the cool highlands, the temple of Ulun Danu sits at the edge of Lake Beratan. When the water rises, it appears to float on the surface.

Kecak Fire Dance: As dusk falls, a circle of 100 performers chant in hypnotic unison, telling the story of the Ramayana with nothing but voice, fire, and movement.

Lush green spaces

Experience inland Bali’s sculpted green landscapes. Rice terraces and volcano viewpoints beckon. Ancient villages keep centuries-old traditions alive.

Walk the UNESCO-listed rice terraces of Jatiluwih (which means "supreme beauty of nature"), where centuries-old Subak irrigation channels carve the hillsides into a living green staircase.

Coffee country: Wander through a hillside plantation growing Bali's citrusy, volcanic-soil Arabica, and sample a fresh cup right where it's grown.

A day in rural Tabanan at Rumah Desa: cross a bamboo bridge into the rice fields, learn about traditional Subak irrigation, and share a family-style Balinese lunch.

Beach escapes

Relax in Sanur, a low-key seaside town that’s been welcoming travellers longer than anywhere else on the island.

Swim in calm, reef-sheltered waters, with colourful wooden jukung fishing boats moored along the sand.

Stroll the promenade, which runs for miles along the shore, past cafés, gardens, and beautiful sea views.

Sunrise is Sanur’s most exciting performance. Rise early enough, and you’ll get to watch the sky turn to gold over the water.
